Fácil Notebook ("we", "our", or "the app") is designed with privacy in mind. We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide you with a great note-taking experience. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Data We Collect

We collect virtually nothing. Your notes, images, recordings, and all content stay on your device. Here's the only data we receive:

Data We Do NOT Collect

To be absolutely clear, we do NOT collect or store:

• Your notes, handwriting, or drawings
• Your images or photos
• Your audio recordings
• Your email, name, or any personal information (we have no user accounts)
• Your location
• Any analytics or behavioral tracking data

All your content stays on your device. If you enable cloud backup, it goes to YOUR personal iCloud or Google Drive account — not our servers.

How We Use Your Data

Local-First Design

All your notes, recordings, and content are processed and stored locally on your device. We don't have access to your content — it never touches our servers.

AI Features (Premium)

When you use AI-powered features (summaries, flashcards), your text is sent to OpenAI for processing and immediately returned. We do not store your content — it's processed and discarded. See OpenAI's Privacy Policy for their data handling.

What We Don't Do

• We do not sell any data to third parties
• We do not use any data for advertising or tracking
• We do not have access to your notes, recordings, or content
• We do not have user accounts, so we don't know who you are

Data Storage & Security

Your notes and recordings are stored locally on your device. If you enable cloud sync, your data is stored in your personal iCloud or Google Drive account, which you control.

We use industry-standard encryption for any data transmitted to our servers or third-party services.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• OpenAI - For AI-powered features (summaries, action items, flashcards)
• Apple iCloud - For cloud sync (optional, user-controlled)
• Google Drive - For cloud sync (optional, user-controlled)
• Firebase - For bug report submission and crash analytics (Crashlytics)

Children's Privacy

Fácil Notebook is designed for students of all ages, including children under 13. Since all notes and content are stored locally on the device or in the user's personal cloud account, we do not collect or store any personal information from children on our servers.

Your Rights

Your data belongs to you. Here's what you can do:

• Access your data anytime — it's stored on your device or your personal iCloud/Google Drive account, not on our servers
• Export any notebook as a PDF from within the app
• Delete your data by removing notebooks or uninstalling the app
• Opt out of cloud sync by keeping data local only

Since we don't store your notes, recordings, or personal content on our servers, there's nothing for us to provide — you already have full control of your data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes through the app or by updating the effective date above.
